Breakfast: 1.5 c pineapple
Mid Morning: Tea; less than an 1/8 c. of dried zucchini
Lunch: Smoothie – 1 banana, 1 avocado, ½ c. spinach, 5 strawberries, ½ c. mango, ½ c. pineapple, some water
Dinner: Wrap – 1 cucumber, 1 carrot, ¾ avocado, 4 tbsp alfalfa sprouts, 3 tsp humus dip (from last week); ¾ Chinese okra
Jumping right into the meat of the post… there seemed to be more avocado in my smoothie this time around which I wasn’t particularly a big fan of. It didn’t taste bad, I just prefer more subtle hints of the vegetables in my smoothies. I’m a fruity kinda person.
Not too much seems to be going on otherwise. Energy level seem to be relatively the same as before. I do feel that I”m scrutinizing every little thing and so some things may be normal, I just didn’t notice them before while other things may be missed due to being too focused on the details.
Moving on, buying groceries is really bad ass. I have to buy a lot to get through the week and when I plop it all down on the conveyor belt at the store I feel like a rock star. Yup. I did just compare raw food shopping to rockstarism. It feels that good.
What doesn’t feel so great is the indent on my bank account. I live up north so food prices are a bit higher, but the big difference is that I was a bargain shopper before and now it doesn’t matter if they’re charging 5 bucks for 2 avocados… I’m going to buy them. I can’t just buy a 3 dollar pizza or spend a week eating noodles for $0.58 a pack. My bill is running about $120 per week just for fruits, nuts and veggies. The salmon filet is 8 bucks, and the trout filet is 4 dollars, so I’d like to limit them, but they are a really big, delicious help.
Here is my grocery list for week 2:
Raw Almonds – 0.245 kg
